Diversity in Unity......

Well its a bit confusing i know.....but the world and everybody all our textbooks and teachings tell us that India is unified in its diversity.... well after 27 years in India do i really believe it well most probably not.... well do you???? yes we are still one country but what a country where everybody is divided on religion, caste and language....... well i guess it is two sides of a coin which we cannot avoid...... well if i am confusing you thats exactly what i started out to do... :) oh well let me explain now i really believe if there is unity in diversity there would be no problem what language we spoke or what religion and what caste we are from for the things that everybody requires for example education(oh yeah what caste!!!!) , jobs, everything.........

Even marriage would any of the parents agree for a marriage from another caste or religion ....oh my god they will bring down the roof quite literally (should watch a few indian movies even though they are a bit stretched on the topic they potray a part of what happens if you say you are in love with a person different to us doesnt matter wether it is religion or caste or language or anything else the answer is always a NO...) ........

So let me say are we divided on everything from the language we talk to the caste and religion we follow, that would be a big yes......

But what everybody believes is that if there was mixing of the castes and religion where would our ethnicity be wont the diversity go away and we would all probably maybe not today but one day be all Indians and no diversity ( If you ask me that would be the best place to be in where the divide within a country and all the fights would reduce).....

but whether it is for the text books or for the deep rooted feelings the diversity and deep hearted belief in that is what we follow.....

Are we striving for unity or are we going to be diversified is upto us...... but as far as I see it we are going in the wrong direction I just hope we dont one day wake up and find our country not as one country anymore but as many countries...... :(
