Wolf in a Sheeps Clothing-Reservation

Hey people sorry I am writing after such a long time, actually I was on a mission to save the world from terrorists….naaaaaaaaaaah I was just too darn lazy to write it.

Anyways today I decided to write about a stale but important topic, about reservations. You all are probably no not again. But here goes nothing and besides if you are dumb enough to read my second blog after the devastation my first one caused…(I hear few people forgot how to think after that; ). Anyways such minor set backs are not going to stop me from being who I am. Come on people I am who I am and if u do want to accept such a basic fact that people don’t change just like that they just learn to fake it, then you have to be from a different planet.

Now coming to the more important topic on hand the reservations. Do I support reservations, Of Course I do. For those of you who have their mouths wide open, shut it before a fly gets in, I will get into the essence of the matter in a little while. I support reservations its not something you can change. A lot of people opposing the reservations keep on saying the same thing why? Why? Even after 50 years of independence, even for a few minutes if they stopped and thought about the centuries of suffering the lower caste people suffered was that right!!!! Was it their fault they were born in the lower caste so had to stay away from the village wells, temples, etc. Do they actually think that people who have endured such hardship and suffering can get over all of that in just 50 years so now you see the analogy. (Even if you don’t I don’t care) People immediately will say why do we have to suffer for what happened centuries ago, but the truth of the matter is how many of them will marry a lower caste person, most of the marriages in India are arranged, though it is slowly changing, but how many of the parents i.e. even modern ones the doctors and engineers would dare select a lower caste person as their child’s fiancée. Don’t we all still have that they are lower than us in the back of our head, and then what is wrong if the people backward get a small push forward.

Now coming to the specific reservation for OBC’s for the higher education, do I support them obviously no. Now everybody must be wondering this fellow has obviously left his brain at home when writing this, actually maybe I did but I don’t remember so I might as well complete this blog brain at home or in the head. Now what are our higher education institutes the IIMs and all have one thing in common you should have the basic degree for them and these are the people who are going to see the big bucks. Now one thing is clear people get jobs for their degrees and like life adding on your resume helps you get some extra money and all that crap. So effectively if you help the down trodden people get into such institutes will get them the big bucks and come up in their life, right, this is where my dear friends our ministers have gone wrong. Let me explain.

For people who have atleast visited a public school in India you know the standard of education there, which is really pathetic. Most of India whether of the forward or backward caste get their education here, my whole topic is based on this single most important point that when the clay is being formed it can change and take the most exquisite of shapes or just some meaningless nonsense and after that it is just the hardening part which is left just like a buildings foundation. What reservations in the higher education does is just bang on the useless clay and try to pass them of as high quality pots, I am not saying that all people who come from such schools are useless but a 50% reservation is absolute suicide, do they actually think they can fool the companies coming for recruitment.

What I would like to see (not like it is going to happen or anything), but just hypothetically is a down to top approach for developing the downtrodden. Reservations by the caste should be there but should be introduced slowly at the same time improving our primary education system so that the future managers and specialties are truly that and not just wolves in sheep’s clothing because of a sudden reservation policy. Most of you must have noticed I changed lower castes to downtrodden half way along the way, because I believe the reservation for the people who are truly downtrodden (economically or otherwise) because I do not want to punish the forward castes for the way they were born.

P.S.: For the people saying it works out much more costly to do the down-up approach and want the easier way out, JOIN POLITICS (he he)
